Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Junior Attorney / Legal Associate. This role will support legal research, document preparation, case support, and administrative legal operations for a growing organization.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for recent law graduates or newly licensed attorneys who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a remote legal environment.

The role will involve working with senior attorneys, legal teams, and internal departments to support casework, documentation, compliance, and legal processes.

This position is ideal for candidates interested in building a career in legal services, corporate law, compliance, contracts, legal operations, or litigation support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research using online databases and legal resources
• Draft, review, and format legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
• Support case preparation, filings, and documentation
• Assist with compliance reviews and internal legal processes
• Organize case files, records, and legal documentation
• Summarize legal findings, case details, and research notes
• Support attorneys with administrative and legal coordination tasks
• Track deadlines, filings, and case updates
• Communicate with internal teams regarding legal requests or documentation
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and client information
• Assist with contract review and document analysis
• Support internal policy and regulatory documentation when needed

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
• Licensed attorney in at least one U.S. state OR pending bar results
• Entry-level candidates welcome (0-2 years of experience)
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
• Familiarity with legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar) preferred
